yes conour
why is that a question
I think geneva convention stuff is a meme
but kowtowing to the whim of a mob is a dumb rationale for doing anything
apparently
I was thinking cow-toe at first
Conour, honest question
what caused the American civil war of 1861
it's not a one word answer, is my point, it's a super nuanced answer, which is why the history meme is it's "slavery" for 3rd graders
whoops
yeah
Conour, I'm not being pedantic, but I think that's missing the point
slavery was a huge fucking deal
and is to this day
we care about such a small subset of slavery and focus on it to no end,
as if it is the greatest sin imaginable
when it's just how the world worked for hundreds and hundreds of years
I just don't understand the position people take on the civil war
other than a "fuck the South" position, that liberals seem to take
the same liberals who think there are 5 inhabitable cities in America
I get that one
if you're an elitist prick
that's the only position I understand
because you can't let half of your country walk away
popular sovreignty is a meme
Lincoln SHOULD have waged war on us
I consider myself a Virginian, before an American
Gent, I don't
I believe in strong, large, devolved states
I think federations work
I think the US should be as big as possible, and devolve as much power as they can ddown to the state level
Man
