Actually, I think it's pretty much been all women they've highlighted
One of the presenters made a comment "who knows, it might be a woman's bullet that kills Hitler"

There were more 80-90 year old Germans fielded than women in the entire war

And trauma teams, etc.
Being issued a gun is not the same as being infantry

Anti-aircraft guns were mounted on pretty much every building
It was a civilian obligation
Women were not discriminated from having shifts on them though (I don't think it was limited in any way)
