The name in Japanese is written as アルセウス, or a-ru-se-u-su, so AR-se-us or AR-se-iss in English.

This is anime talk, but since I'm just asking one question about it rather than a big discussion: Is there a place to get fan translations of light novels? It's really annoying when a light novel is picked up for a like 12-episode anime series and that's it, when there's like 17 light novels for it.

"Pokémon" pronounced as it's spelled is almost never used in any regard, official or not; in English, it's usually pronounced as po-kuh-mon, and in Japanese it's "poketto monsutaa," not even using the word "Pokémon" usually.

I usually say po-kuh-mon, because that's how it was generally pronounced in the anime, outside of the theme.

The amount of Japanese in my blood is completely negligible imo, it goes as far as "I've heard words pronounced now and then as a child so I don't pronounce po-kei-mon as pac-man".
