The amount of Japanese in my blood is completely negligible imo, it goes as far as "I've heard words pronounced now and then as a child so I don't pronounce po-kei-mon as pac-man".

"Pokémon" pronounced as it's spelled is almost never used in any regard, official or not; in English, it's usually pronounced as po-kuh-mon, and in Japanese it's "poketto monsutaa," not even using the word "Pokémon" usually.

It's really annoying when a light novel is picked up for a like 12-episode anime series and that's it, when there's like 17 light novels for it.

I don't think I actually say the name vocally, but when I read it, I hear it as "AR-see-iss" in my head, because that's the first way I've heard it pronounced, and heard it that way enough in video games

Rayquaza is another name I heard as "ray-KWAA-zuh" in video games before hearing it as "ray-KWAY-zuh" in anime or other games, so I still think of it as the first in my head
