I mean, the truth is there is no alternative to youtube
youtube is a monopoly, everything else is like fringe pockets
Does anyone want to see something I have made? Off topic, I know. Just curios
Replying to The Shadow不滅 #theshadowbumyu Does anyone want to see something I have made? Off topic, I know. Just curios
Yeah
What, you meant Bam is not a perfect descriptor for everything? lmao yes I will explain
Basically while I do not have a name for this country yet, my brain's immediate thought was it could be used for a break away region for my worldbuilding project I am working on
Basically it is a world of Superstates and india in this world went super militarized. Then it propogaded propegated Propaganada for its military government to stay in power. Specifically regarding its northern Neighbor, things such as "They will invade us at any minute" but also " They will never defeat us!"
That's awesome
What do the colours mean symbolically, since all flag colours mean something
Yellow for the subcontinent's endurance, Blue for liberty and white for a brighter future
it was created because the Military government lied to its people. I know shocking, Some people got fed up with it all and decided to make their own country. And thus are now fighting their old government for control of the Sub Continent
Replying to legorhin #jazardly why are there only 3 stars when there are 27 nakshatras?
It is for the 3 that founded the country. Which those are I do not know at the moment. Since well I just remembered I could use this flag for that occasion
Oh and the Northern part of the country was taken by this northern neighbor as well, though that territory was originally taken by the mongolian empire. Which this northern Neighbour defeated. though the timeline of events might be slightly weird.
Please be the arctic circle, the most north
Replying to Dane #princelydone who is this mysterious unnamed northern neighbor?
The Empire of Valerian
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak Please be the arctic circle, the most north
I mean it does control a lot of the artic circle, does that help?
Certainly
or well not a lot of it, Russia also holds much of it, but this empire is quite stronger than russia.
Replying to The Shadow不滅 #theshadowbumyu I mean it does control a lot of the artic circle, does that help?
I knew it, Canadians are truly devils.
which Russia in this world has lost quite a bit of Territory to both this empire and Japan.
To the empire Russia lost " Kaliningrad, Karelia, Murmansk, the region around Leningrad, northern Arkhangelsk, the tip of the Nenets (the one opposite Murmansk), Rostov, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Stavropol, Kalmyk, Adygey, Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingus, north Ossetia, kabardin-balkar, karachey-cherkess" and to japan they lost the Far east.
And to answer that question. Idk really
Replying to Kribbles #kribbles1 I knew it, Canadians are truly devils.
It does not control canda
But that is funny
I like how they lost land to japan and not china in this timeline

not much of an empire at that point
is this some alt WW2 japan does not lose timeline where they maintain their military

China does not exist in the same in this timeline
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak is this some alt WW2 japan does not lose timeline where they maintain their military
I forgot to mention the era this is taking place in.. Shit
Basically this is a world where techonology developed faster than in our own, current year is roughly 1810 I think. though I have planned as far as 1856 at the current
Does anyone by chance want to know how many real world countries and regions of countries the Empire of Valerian Controls?
Sure
hit me
I haven't found exacts regions of india that it controls, granted I have not looked all to hard. Hey, sorry you stumbled on our peertube instance and it wasn't obvious it's just an archive of a specific streamer/Youtuber

which nation rules this empire?
I've noticed that they've made it easier to make that mistake with how federation works
Replying to Dane #princelydone which nation rules this empire?
Hard to really say, Techincally a unified scandinavia, which the vikings made, so on the most techincal front it is Sweden I would say
Spooky can you make a splash screen when people try to make an account that says it in big bold letters or something
Like people suggested earlier, there aren't a ton of great YouTube alternatives that aren't paid
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak Spooky can you make a splash screen when people try to make an account that says it in big bold letters or something
Remember Pika, federation
Oh you can make an account without visiting the site itself
So I honor other instances
Yeah
right

thats pretty cool, so how did Sweden conquer the world?
Odyssee is the most complete, it's a spin-orr of an open source project that was PeerTube-adjacent
Written in PHP
But it has a lot of the same platform problems YouTube has
There are also some services on ZeroTier, but that's mostly darknet stuff
Dane how do you feel being ruled by this mega nation in this worldline
I've now caught up reading
I like this lore
And I appreciate that your flag looks like a flag, and not some bastardized r/vexillology wet dream
Replying to Dane #princelydone thats pretty cool, so how did Sweden conquer the world?
Through centuries of conquest mostly. this started in 898, first campaign was Lilith Kollungr from 980-989. then the German Confederation 1030-1060, French-Iberian Federal Monarchy 1120-1170, The Roman Empire/Byzantine Empire 1188-1200, Mongolian Empire 1232-1266. (Next is civil war) War of the Kin 1280-1306 (Heinstien XVII Kollungr(Emperor - Anti slavery) Vs Olivia VII Kollungr(Princess/Regent - Enslaver) result: Olivia stripped of power, wealth and rank, exiled to remote Island.) 1308 Formation of the Imperium Mortimerum(Empire of Mortimer)
1382 - Formation of the Two Crowns Alliance (Mortimer - Japan) fighting the Russo-New English Allaince (Russia - New England(New world version of european England)) The Second Great war.
And I have food, I will continue this later, see ya in a few
I think you posted enough lore to be vetted to the server. Welcome to phijkchu random swedish person
Thank you
So what do you all think of this? Just curios for any general thoughts
Also important to note, all flags are directly made by me
no AI involved
This is not my type of autism. I enjoy seeing random alt history stuff people have worked on though, it is interesting

Sure any of them you are particularly interested in seeing?
This is the Official Valerian Flag. Since it was raised the same time the named changed occured
it is a bit busy
