Oh yeah Niguri Makuri Tower is in the recently translated alice's mansion 2 for pc98, i played that and it was interesting in the context of the other alicesoft games from that era

The basics of the lore is that the entire game only exists because another PhijkchuGames member made a joke edit of a toushin toshi 2 screenshot i had posted, which inspired a game being made due to various other reasons

The lore for the Rance bookclub was I made dan (one / lead artist for toushin gent) watch the 01 hentai like 5 years ago, then around a year ago he started looking into to Rance and was considering playing them. I then commited to doing a full bookclub with him. By word of mouth of how genuinely funny 01 was, we convinved multiple others to join the bookclub

Tbh when I saw a whole ass Toushin Toshi clone game on Steam I was like "this is the most insanely specific inspiration for an indie rpg, their Discord must be full of Alicesoft nerds" so this surprised me a bit ngl
