Well a friend of mine got this gifted by one of his friend and then he shared it to me because he was like "Yo check this out, someone made a Toushin Toshi clone on Steam" and since I'm an Alicesoft fan and really like Toushin Toshi, I bought the game Started today, it's pretty fun so far

Quick question, should I play toushin toushi after rance 4
You could've even play it before Rance III since TT1 was released before it TT1 is super rough tho (it got the worst encounter rate I've seen in anything) the sequel is truly where it's at

TT1 is the only one to actually be canon to the Rance series, TT2 is in the same setting but it's a parralel timeline kinda deal Not that it really matters anyway

Mamatoto and Kaeru Pan-Yon are like pretty relevant to Rance IX I know Niguri Makuri Tower got translated recently but I didn't play it Rance Vi has a fandisk that's translated Slash thrust Burn is a small side-game following Sengoku Rance

Oh yeah Niguri Makuri Tower is in the recently translated alice's mansion 2 for pc98, i played that and it was interesting in the context of the other alicesoft games from that era

The basics of the lore is that the entire game only exists because another PhijkchuGames member made a joke edit of a toushin toshi 2 screenshot i had posted, which inspired a game being made due to various other reasons

The lore for the Rance bookclub was I made dan (one / lead artist for toushin gent) watch the 01 hentai like 5 years ago, then around a year ago he started looking into to Rance and was considering playing them. I then commited to doing a full bookclub with him. By word of mouth of how genuinely funny 01 was, we convinved multiple others to join the bookclub

Yeah I also discovered it through the 01 OVA's back when it was airing and like only Sengoku Rance was translated Then around 2021 I binged all the games with a friend and now I have Rance autism, not great for parties

Tbh when I saw a whole ass Toushin Toshi clone game on Steam I was like "this is the most insanely specific inspiration for an indie rpg, their Discord must be full of Alicesoft nerds" so this surprised me a bit ngl Well anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying going through the Rance games

Actually doing that Bookclub thing for Kichikuou is a great idea It's the type of game where every run is sort of different depending on player's choice and stuff Very fun "playground rumor" type of game if it wasn't ya know... Porn lol

We are! I am on chap 5 of iv, the other two are in chap 4 still I believe. Rance 03 is one of my favourite games of all time
