I think you could chalk it up to a lot of different things Justin has talked about Rob's advice being bad (which I agree with), he also wasn't really a good manager varying levels of interest in going full-time, audience size, content diversity, personality fits, etc.

personality mismatch was a thing I remember

Overall though, it took Rob's attention away from doing projects, which is what he excelled at (and what had a chance of going viral) and he also stopped trying to grow as a Twitch streamer, which would have been the sound career move at the time

Idk i always remember his pkmn streams having like 2-3k every week which was phenomenal back then

his numbers were great

but it was 1 stream/week, and he flaked out a lot once BufWiz was up and going

He didnt even do subs really or the whole emote game and barely pushed monetization at all during that era

his general stream number, like the random Sims stream where he'd get 10k

it's crazy he didn't see that, and try to double down streaming

I think a big part was he really didn't like Twitch as a company, but idk, maybe it was less obvious at the time how lucrative it could have been

though like REgi said, he did shit all to monetize it

Yeah he could have been a really giant twitch streamer if he focused in on it I think. Dude was genuinely funny and a great streamer, but let the negativity of a few people always ruin his nights, or at least that was the excuse to stop

he viewed all criticism as negativity so that could be any random feedback

It was borne out of confusion with TB confusing Rob with Danny Vorhez (Rob's partner for the Unforgotten Realms cartoon) I believe TB reached out regarding a WoW collab and (since Rob and Danny had broken up at that point) it was a disjointed mess and TB wrote them off. Rob was into starcraft during the same time TotalBiscuit ran his team Axiom, and they ended up clearing the air at some point via fans donating during some random Polaris podcast episode. I'm forgetting the exact piece of what the TB collab/project was, it'll come to me at some point.

Rob was trying to get into SC2 casting at one point, and was getting blackballed by TB which was when TB talked about this
