the official one would not allow this discussion lmao
you CANNOT POSSIBLY claim to understand gamergate
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak the official one would not allow this discussion lmao
That's good to know. People really shouldn't allow this type of discussion imo.
I've yet to see a single living human give an exact definition of what gamergate means

It's when women.
I'll only trust a definition if both dialga, mint, and dolfin all sign off on it being correct

I think if you react to a message with a thumbs up on discord as your way of acknowleding it

you don't exactly DESERVE to have something bad happen to you
but if it did, you would be less likely to be able to complain justifiability compared to if you had not done that

I was ranting about the same thing in vc, since I have people I work with who do that

It's just a bit reductive. It doesn't add anything to the conversation. It's not the worst thing in my mind, but it can be annoying when you want to have a conversation and you just get the "yeah I saw it"
I don't like it if I get notified of it
if it just happens it is fine
I hate people who just ignore me more than that by an order of 2 or 3 magnitudes anyways

it's not actually a problem I just exclusively associate it with some of my fellow zoomers I've worked with on school projects who use it as a get out of jail free card to avoid having to actually make a response to something
Funniest thing someone submitted their assignment (physically written) on top of

it's kinda crazy how 3 is so distant from 1 conceptually but if you just subtract one twice it's already there

Not my vent
I wouldn't drink it, but if you put a gallon of milk in a common fridge, you 1,000% have to label it
Individual bottles, you're good
I don't know how you software developers do your job. I'm doing such mundane, petty bullshit that does not matter at all and could be completed in maybe 2 months, but because of the merge request, peer-review commenting, jira ticketing, clang format, C++ clean code standards bullshit, I can't even get started on the first part. I left the federal government because of how painfully slow the management was, but companies are painfully slow at FUCKING WORK. Who the FUCK cares that I used an if (!ok) { throw error } vs try { ok; catch { throw error } it fucking doesn't change anything. Using a const ref rather than value on a single fucking integer. Oh my fucking god.
I went back to school to escape it too, but then it turned out the school I picked was also full of pointless tedium and busy work

Why Mengsk is the most Diabolical Dictator in Starcraft
www.youtube.com
Another case of me complaining about a video without watching it. Like no shit, Arcturus Mengsk is the most "Diabolical dictator in Starcraft". That is an incredibly narrow playing field.
Who's his competition? The Confederacy? They're not even characters. Valerian Mengsk? You mean the goody-two-shoes Arthas Menethil wannabe?

I spy with my little eye an eye so kind and spyable that I can spy it with my eye.
In anger I spite the eye with my bye and it will go bye bye and cry cry.
I hate the eye. It is stupid and bi (sexual).
The eye will make me cry.
I do not want to die, until I have bid fare-bye to the eye.
The eye will die.
The eye will die.
I will kill the eye, and I will not tell you why.
The eye.
I do not like the eye.
Do not touch the eye.
Do not say ask why of the eye.
The eye.
It cannot cry.
It will not say why.
It will not fly, into the sky.
It is the eye.
Why.

I was asking my boss a question because I didn't understand how using overlapping virtual aperture arrays is of any use. He answered my question with "the central limit theorom, N^2/N is bigger" and I said I didn't understand and then told me, "It's okay. you don't need to understand this." Yeeeuupp thank you for reconfirming my desire to leave.
I don't see how the central limit theorem would apply to that for what its worth lmfao
central limit theorem just states that the statistical average of sequences of RVs approach a normal distribution
his explanation is at best missing multiple key parts that connect the CLT to it, at worse, he just said shit that was meaningless
it's not really N^2, you're simulating the second N using the readings from other array elements, and layering them
idk what context that would really come up though, weird all around
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 it's not really N^2, you're simulating the second N using the readings from other array elements, and layering them (edited)
THANK YOU that's what I was trying to fucking say
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak central limit theorem just states that the statistical average of sequences of RVs approach a normal distribution
It's taking a sum of two RVs. One of is correlated across elements (the signal - because a signal hits every element) and the other is not correlated across elements (the noise) so when you sum up a large beam, the noise never increases, but the signal does. So that's the central limit theorem, the noise just goes into a gaussian.
I get that
I just did not see how that explained what the fuck he said it explained
I'm still confused on the N^2/N, because you're using the same data multiple times when you're overlapping. Like, you're using the same noise to smooth out.. noise. But I do understand that it's like a normalizer, but I swear you are absolutely correlating the noise by using it multiple times.
you are, that's why 4x4 MIMO adds basically nothing to modern WiFi, since you're not actually nulling anything and are just doing that same correlation again
the gains from wifi7 are really just from adding additional antennas, and you're more likely to have packets get through if you transmit more of them from different geometry, and repeat other people's packets in your downtime
I won't pretend to be a radar expert, but I suspect there is probably a more useful application there
because for telecom it's a complete joke
I hope you get sent to Iran
I hope you get sent to Toronto in 2 days
