Got a lot to vent about I guess. Why does no one fucking sign my forms. My TA contract forms require me to sign, and have the person running the class sign the form. I emailed everyone the second I got my forms, one person was a week late, and I am still waiting on one signature after sending a followup email

now I have to go in person to track them down on campus because they could not just respond to my email and sign a damn form

I feel like 14 factorial shouldn't be that large
No its about as large as I think it should be
fine
I assumed you meant the gamma function because I have literally never heard of the other thing you said
I got them confused lol. The gamma function is a part of the gamma distribution and the gamma distribution is used to represent normal distribution data that's had the Fourier transform performed on it, at least that's when I see it used. But if you don't scale it, it's just chi-squared.
It shows up a lot
(I am very familiar with using it)
Looked it up, I've seen/done some lie group stuff, but not enough to see this

Went to Sam's Club today and a black guy (the only black guy I saw all day) tried to walk out with a cart full of stuff he (presumably) did not pay for and when they stopped him he immediately started yelling "WHAT DID I DO?" And then proceeded to call them all "stupid cracker ass niggas" (or something like that he was hard to understand) and walk out of the store
rusp fuck you should've taken a video and sent it to me...

How many people are we saying there are as VC attender candidates
the answer is 2^N where N is the number of total VC candidates
(this includes zero people as a valid VC configuration for the ranking, and also every possible set of just 1 person in VC alone) If you want to remove those, its 2^N - N - 1
I forgot the answer is easy before I started doing scratchwork
ok but pika the order people join VC definitely impacts how the VC evolves
If you want to have an order affecting rank, its less of a counting problem and moreso a probability problem
Replying to reorruatrnte #toughbrook ok but pika the order people join VC definitely impacts how the VC evolves
Your right pirate, its very important that you join the VC to the middle/end and dissappear at some point
ok let's not count leaving the VC too
that seems like it would be a bit of harder problem
I legitimately cannot do scratchwork math to do what you are asking me
that would be like what, all permutations of multiset where there's two elements for each person to represent joining leaving? except no because it's possible they don't leave.
idk i'm not a math man
I guess actually hold on, no
maybe you just replace (N r) (N choose r) with the permutation
since permutation order matters
if we do not care about leaving and just join order, that is easier to solve, although IDK if it has a nice closed form solution like this
only like 4 VCs matter anyway
so it's fine
If you want to look at that, you'd have to assign probabilities of each VC occuring
then you could find things like the expected chance of a good VC, or even funnier questions, such as "the expected chance this VC turns out good given Pika joined first, followed by Rusp"
but that is too complicated for quick math
and would require us modelling VC quality somehow
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak maybe you just replace (N r) (N choose r) with the permutation
If join order matters, it is the floor(e times N!)
You guys made me forget to start cooking dinner
