About the same cousin again. In addition to the rent and food money we're giving him (I don't know what he's spending his centrelink money on), a couple weeks ago he asks for 140$ for a washing machine, since it had been raining a lot this month. Says his alternative his spending 10 dollars going to a professional drier place. Next week he comes to us for an additional 100 for his electricity bills. Says he only used the machine once.

I don't think I am yet to have a TA who has been able to successfully grade code or pseudocode. If it is not automatic there is always some issue.
this is more like there are TAs that just can't do anything besides check for if the answer has stuff from the example solution or not.
my favorite was in my first or second undergrad c++ course i had a TA who couldn't read an array reverse algorithm
and then the professor had to regrade all of our test manually because the other TAs were about as bad apparently
I definitely get being predisopsed to mark down stuff that you don't immediately recognize esp when a lot of the stuff you are getting is obviously BS or chatgpt
but it feels more to me like a lot of times it is just people who have gone through the motions forever without really learning stuff, probably more of a problem at these shitter schools i'm going to

that prof had to deal with a lot of shit, he was basically hired to be the scapegoat for all the shitter undergrad courses
he had an insane number of students and TAs at all times
the line for his office hours you had to be there like an hour early or something
anyway i can't complain too much because there is a mistake in my algorithm so it prevents me from going 100% on fighting the issue, it's just annoying because it's entirely separate from what they actually marked me down for

Considering it was a 3 hour test that started 50 mins ago, and I was just on the phone with my mom for 15, thst should tell ya something!
