He fucked himself up with Unforgotten Realms on The Escapist, trying to make the episodes more and more grandiose, then trying to make them weekly instead of bi-weekly. He fucked himself up with Unforgotten Quest, trying to make a game on a scale he had nowhere near the skill or resources to do. URealms Live was great in season 1 and season 2, but he tried to make it bigger and better nonstop from season 2 onward, to the point of burning his brain out.

I'm not saying you're 100% wrong, I'm saying he causes unnecessary stress on himself by putting way too much work into shit that doesn't need it and doesn't get results.

I'm not denying that the drugs, the people he surrounded himself with, etc, contributed heavily to him having a complete mental break, either. I'm saying the stress he put on himself can't be good for his mind.

Were the drugs something random, that he just decided to try one day because it became legal? Were they part of people he surrounded himself with? Were they to deal with stress? I acknowledge they were a big part, but I can't say why he started using at all, let alone so heavily.

I think if I could do any two things to Robs life, just to see where that would lead him (and I pick things to supposedly make things better not worse, and I limit myself to post him killing urealms live), its I remove the weed, and he had to delete his discord and not get sucked into his weird community full of mentally ill people

I just don't remember if the first rawb.tv segments - the Sims 4 one with little boy Justin, the Divinity: Original Sin II videos with Salazar the art thief, etc - were before he killed URLive or if it was between seasons

Salazar made it into URLive, idk about the sims stuff though

The problem wasn't trying to make a game, it was that he started out with a half-reasonable game idea with seemingly no roadmap, then kept making the scope of the game bigger and bigger, to the point he would have zero ability to actually make the game, even if he had more funding and hadn't lost his wife that was doing a large amount of work on the game.

Then at like the 1.5 year mark(when it was supposed to release in 2 years), it's like "Oh yeah we're switching to Unity and have to re-code everything"

Well, that's kinda why I say drop uquest, since it prevents any scope issues with it, recoding everything or his wife leaving killing the project
