I see
yeah thats just not a thing here
So, tests are ass
they are just not good
but there is a pragmatic reason they exist
you just can't properly test the quantity of students
my quantum theory 3 class did an interview where the prof just talked with you and then said what grade he thought you should get and you discussed that
that was the most based
class only had 10 people though
most of my quanum courses were open book
it was not collaborative though
Yeah thats fair
usually you only start getting good testing stuff when you are a sub 15 person class
more than 15 and you are kind of forced to use standard methods for pragmatic reasons
Yeah that was not a thing at UW
most profs aimed for a 60 average
on their tests
except my E&M1 prof
who said, and I qoute "the test average was a 56, this is much higher than usual, so I am going to make the next test much harder"
and then the next test average was like a 40
dude, she's the prof at my school who won the nobel prize
a few years back
(this was before she won)
class started with like 50 students, like 20 people wrote the final exam, and no one looked happy at the end of it
that course is my second lowest university grade (I got a 62)
