context is they are posting green screens for rob to hotkey for his streams
Imagine if you could stream for 20 mins go have lunch Stream for another 30 min go work on a video stream for 5 mins take the dog for a walk stream for another 30 mins Man you'd have to be able to control time or something! You'd lose momentum with those breaks! Sounds cool eh?
robs dream is to do even less

not even true lmao
I mean, on one hand I agree, timed testing is the worst way to determine if someone knows what they are doing
My final grade almost always dropped 10% because I am bad at tests (I got better as uni went though)
but, there is a pragmatic issue of, if you have infinite time to solve something, there is no test
Unless you are asking me to solve the great unsolved problems of mathematics, I can guarantee you if you give me enough time (for a sufficient definition of enough) I can solve it
He's canadian
we don't have those
I think he just means literally any test
I've done 4 mc only tests ever
my two first year chem finals, and two lab finals
Most tests are a mix of mc and long answer
usually 20-30% mc, the rest long answer
Its not standardized for us
the prof makes the test
I see
yeah thats just not a thing here
So, tests are ass
they are just not good
but there is a pragmatic reason they exist
you just can't properly test the quantity of students
my quantum theory 3 class did an interview where the prof just talked with you and then said what grade he thought you should get and you discussed that
that was the most based
class only had 10 people though
most of my quanum courses were open book
