I genuinely think that was a fatal mistake for RHEL. The people who weren't paying for the commercial licenses were almost certainly the type of people primarily developing for RHEL

he has been archiving Rob for way longer than Phijkchu existed
so, what actually happened is there was a looming deadline of when YouTube was going to auto-private all unlisted videos, and most of Rob's videos were unlisted
and Rob was clear that he was going to let everything get privated
yeah he posted about it on discord
Funniest part of that all is Rob severely overestimating how much it costs Spooky to operate rawb.art

Its just weird RP
yeah, idk if he's even bothering with the DvZ meta rp stuff he was doing before
It's now just an rp sesh he does for about an hour on-stream
I suppose burning bridges with Nisovin was not the best move in terms of keeping a project largely using Nisovin's work in working order

I'm still saying Rob getting of the internet is probably a net positive for him
I don't think his heart's really been into any of the series/projects he's done
GTA roleplay is what he enjoyed doing the most, but after he lost that friend group (twice) idk if he's really bounced back
He's got some people in his Discord who will show up to play Marvel Rivals or Dead by Daylight
occasionally goofing around in Minecraft or streaming pokemon feels more like a way to not completely shut the content creation door, even if he's 99% moved on

Honestly, a stand alone game similar to but legally distinct from DvZ would probably kill in today's game market.
there was a steam game that was sorta a DvZ-like rts tower defense, which we teased them for their OldManWillakers speech in the trailer

there's a full length one that has the longer speech, where I swear I think they use the line "Choose the Night"
but yes, an actual DvZ game for $10 would do well, though I think you'd have to concede some of the minecraft voxel-ness

I suppose that depends on the person. For some any amount of voxels dooms a game to being called Minecraft, e.g. Terraria. But I think that right there would probably be distinct enough that most gamers wouldn't call it a MC clone

Is anyone watching the new Rob pokemon streams he's been doing once/month?
I'm trying to get an impartial opinion on something
I don’t even know or was a thing, I thought it was like a one off

So, I also don't watch them fully, but when I upload vods I spot-check them
And I noticed that for some reason Pokemon seems to get Rob very worked up
He'll have moments where he very much seems to be transported back to 2014
And I can't tell how much is brain fog, a decade past and Rob can't remember Pokemon streams and is just acting excited/amped for the stream
And how much is genuinely a "this was the peak of my life" energy for Rob. Full nostalgia, memories came flooding back sorta thing
It's not a question I can come to a conclusion on from just watching bits and pieces
So if anyone's actually been watching, I'm curious what your take is
