I liked RHEL, but I'm kind of glad I got pushed off due to the license shenanigans, since it's hugely fallen out of use in general
yeah screw rhel. and redhat for what they did to centos

I genuinely think that was a fatal mistake for RHEL. The people who weren't paying for the commercial licenses were almost certainly the type of people primarily developing for RHEL

we prempted him though and launched Rawb.art just before he set that up (also almost no one became a channel member and he was missing most of the videos anyways because he was doing the reuploading manually)
wait how the fuck did yall pre-empt him on that? did he hint at his plans or did spooky just already have everything downloaded because thats what spooky does

so, what actually happened is there was a looming deadline of when YouTube was going to auto-private all unlisted videos, and most of Rob's videos were unlisted

ngl when i first saw everything was gone except for his video explaining that it was his life's work and he can do what he wants with it i low key respected it. then of course he spiralled further

Hard to say. On the one hand i have moved on from the old Rawb days, mostly. But it is fascinating seeing an old enclave from that time in my life
Seeing essentially the evolved undead corpse of several different communities that one was in since old forum days of any community is still wild to me

I'm still saying Rob getting of the internet is probably a net positive for him I don't think his heart's really been into any of the series/projects he's done

occasionally goofing around in Minecraft or streaming pokemon feels more like a way to not completely shut the content creation door, even if he's 99% moved on

now if only he would give the dvz rights to komala so it could be published by phijkchu games in a couple years
Honestly, a stand alone game similar to but legally distinct from DvZ would probably kill in today's game market.

but yes, an actual DvZ game for $10 would do well, though I think you'd have to concede some of the minecraft voxel-ness
Honestly it would be better for it if the voxels were toned down. It would never beat the Minecraft clone accusations otherwise

It is not, I also did not make it just curious the level of voxel that would be outside the minecraft clone perception (edited)
I suppose that depends on the person. For some any amount of voxels dooms a game to being called Minecraft, e.g. Terraria. But I think that right there would probably be distinct enough that most gamers wouldn't call it a MC clone

I have caught bits and pieces. Minecraft seems to be dev stuff and or announcements mostly. His pokemon runs have been a little bit of a throwback, but not quite the same feel audience wise.
