I do not see Rob again
whats the point in going through Toronto if not to drive past Rob
Toronto is basically the new york of Canada
so there is "stuff" to do, like the symphony
but I cannot understand wanting to live here
I know the line between what is/isn't a city is blurring (and where city limits actually are)
but I'll give Toronto credit for being a city with a lot of real housing at least
rather than everyone living in a box like NYC
that's the part I don't think I could do, I could live in a smaller house, have less land, and have less garage/parking space
but when you tell me I need to live on floor 15 in some building, and use all these wonderful shared amenities and public transit
something in my soul just rejects it outright
I think the area I live in rn is close to peak, aside from the cost of everything sucking
Toronto just ate everything around it
so its housing used to just be other small communities
I've been led to believe that West coast Canada is worse

Idk, its the notion of "walkable cities". They like to cope that you need everything within a 5 min walk of your box you live in
I would not want to live in a small town where you need a car to survive, I like the middle ground of "everything is within reason" so a 1 hour walk to walmart is fine, you don't need to do daily trips to the store
