I know I'm in the minority in the chat for really enjoying the Lyn Azveltara stuff (except Last Beenu but that's because that entire campaign was one of the worst cases of on screen Rob railroading)

In hindsight knowing how the grand paladin worked, lance getting picked would’ve made him become bruce which is kind of cool

But also took away from lance’s character

the hindsight on the Grand Paladin is awful tbh because it goes from this cool anicent tradition of dozens of strong willed men and women who've died to two guys like wut

I fucking hated the AZ campaign

That campaign was just… bad

"my special unique OC Malestrom Becomes a God" was certainly a plotline

I mean in sandbolds, the backgrounds rolled included romantic and slave so

also, while I think it made for a better metaplot Giving Milbee an Ancient Sandbold PC was a decision

the metaplot of "yeah the sandbolds were kinda awful huh" was REALLY funny in retrospect

I was always rubbed the wrong way by the sexual stuff in urealms because it almost never felt funny to me

And then it encouraged people to be that way in fan games

but yeah, being frank, I appreciated URealms being open on the sex stuff a lot. Is it a little cringe looking back on it now? Yeah for sure. But it did something not a lot of other TTRPG stuff did back then, and still don't do now.

There's a reason basically no season 3 campaigns actually used the combat system

yeah Season 3 is easily the worst balance of the show, just because of jesus fuckin christ LIMITEDS WHY?

Season 2 was the best in terms of actually playability

I mean, at that point Rob wanted pure rp and no combat

because he got it inhis head that he was a grand storyteller instead of a clown

There's still something incredibly fucking funny about "We have to limit Anytimes per combat, players get far too many free actiosn in combat" "So we're nerfing the game to 3 anytimes per combat" "Also all limiteds are free anytimes now don't worry abotu it"

GPO was all ageless, deadlantis was RP centric, AZ had no real combat, the purge had peasant classes, gaiden had no real combat, idk the rest but they seemed non-traditional

Even in the purge, you can see just how overpowered players get as peasants
