That was the peak of the entire series for me

Deadlantis was the only good S3 campaign

Yeah I dont remember much of S3

I remember the first three, then I stopped watching after campaign 4

I did like THe Purge in S3

The purge was fine until the end

Rezzing lance was cringe

And nothing came of it

yeah I'm personally fine with the idea of "When the cast are controlling characters they can do shit that is far beyond their capability" because it matches with how NPC PCs vs PCs had been treated up to that point but the exact way it was done and it's descent into bopen circlejerk was annoying af

The real problem with the ageless was it's forced link to Bopen's plotline If Deadlantis hadn't gone down the way it did, and we still had the muliple factions of ageless with differing opinions? Would've been great

And beloved characters who died could be turned ageless and then they’d be trying to do that as well

Obviously chat would go for the violent outcome, Rob knew this when he did buckeroos

One of the worst aspects of the ageless plotline was the confusion on the downside, which to this day was never clarified of "Oh well when you die, your soul goes to the afterlife, unless you were ageless"

which was never explained what the fuck the afterlife actually was if it did exist, nor why ageless didn't go to it

and even that took like 1.5 seasons to get to

One thing people here pointed out a while ago was with the first DD in GPO, gwyneth was supposed to be the less militant choice of the two

But then she started the purge. So, really, the choice didn't make a difference

I didn’t want huge wars, I wanted cool interconnected stories

Also bc I thought she was a neat character

I voted lance because I wanted to see more of him

I hoped we’d just end up seeing more of him anyways

I voted Gwyenth for that, and also because I thought it would be more interesting to build onto new lore we hadn't seen anything before(Which did lead to the focus on the elf lore which I liked) vs retreading DvZ a lot

and yeah, it really was a shocker that we barely saw Lance after

Ye elf lore was my favorite so far at that point

Dwarves didn’t really get much

I know I'm in the minority in the chat for really enjoying the Lyn Azveltara stuff (except Last Beenu but that's because that entire campaign was one of the worst cases of on screen Rob railroading)

In hindsight knowing how the grand paladin worked, lance getting picked would’ve made him become bruce which is kind of cool

the hindsight on the Grand Paladin is awful tbh because it goes from this cool anicent tradition of dozens of strong willed men and women who've died to two guys like wut

AZ was okay in concept to me

I still contend it was the worst pre Rob killing urealms live thing Rob ever put out

because the first grand paladin was Bruce+Birgo

The beenu shit was weird

And kinda ruined it for me

The genocide was stupid and had zero impact

There's not many shows that can do "goofy fun anime haha" campaign and "The Cast Commits Genocide" at the same time

AZ has basically nothing redeeming about it

Lyn is easily the worst character in urealms

All he did was show something we already knew, that the beenu were dead

Bei Mei Xhirt is still the best part of AZ, tbf

because Rob only knew DBZ and sailor moon

Man I wish the wiki was up so I could go back and look at the campaigns in order

I think the sandbolds was where I started to really check out

That campaign was just… bad

"my special unique OC Malestrom Becomes a God" was certainly a plotline

sandbolds was fucking stupid

I watched parts of sandbolds in vc with the phijkchu group watch that was going on

And everyone was being weirdly sexual iirc

Probably pushed by rob

I only tuned in for the ending

I mean in sandbolds, the backgrounds rolled included romantic and slave so

also, while I think it made for a better metaplot Giving Milbee an Ancient Sandbold PC was a decision

the metaplot of "yeah the sandbolds were kinda awful huh" was REALLY funny in retrospect

I was always rubbed the wrong way by the sexual stuff in urealms because it almost never felt funny to me

And then it encouraged people to be that way in fan games

I, obviously, have very little concern with the sexual stuff in the main show. I think it was one of the unique things about the show compared to a lot of other more santized and "Safe" TTRPG media.

I'd still say Zarlin was pretty funny
