JUST IN- 🇬🇧 The U.K Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the legal definition of a woman is determined by biological sex, with all five judges in agreement. "Transgender women" are not legally defined as women.
twitter.comTo be less clickbaity and more accurate to what actually happened, the UK supreme court ruled that the rules for protections for women are based on biological sex, but specifically stated that transgender people are still protected under other rules that exist
yeah and like nothing prevents a trans woman from saying they are being discriminated for being a woman still even if it no longer matches the specific legal definition in this context. a semi nothingburger ruling. also just funny and unnecessary for the people to be frenzied to this degree over 0.1 percent of the population stil
idk why i keep bringing up canadian elections here but this grpahic i saw really describes how funny this flipping has been

newsinteractives.cbc.caI keep saying as much mint
liberals for sure are winning
Conservatives lost hard in the 11th hour
It is literally just
- Cons did not come out hard about the 51st state thing and people view them as weak when dealing with trump
- Libs got rid of Trudeau
its just that easy
For the record, of the 3 actual parties excluding bloc my beloved, I think libs are the best choice of the three major parties rightnow
not that my opinion of this matters
Cons were basically running on a single issue (carbon tax) which Carney removed in his first couple weeks of being interum PM, so they lost their single issue
NDP is perma fucked into irrelevance unless they get rid of their current leader
they are a non factor and won't be for the next 10 years unless he fucking leaves
I think liberals without trump would have done okay after getting rid of trudeau, trump just sealed the deal
There is a genuine cultural shift occuring because it hit the point where the average "well meaning" person is fed up, stances on immigration are basically flipped from being very pro as a country to against
He is a politician and a banker, they are all evil
literally every politician is evil
Dude, not being nationalistic right now is lost capital in this election
I said this before, this is the most nationalistic I have seen my country
Spooky does not believe me because I guess his circle of Canadians are super pro joining the US
Because Polievier is viewed as trump lite (policy wise, absolute not, but he has tried to copy what made trump popular like having name slogans for the opposition like carbon tax carney)
Which was doing alright when people hated Trudeau, but not that he is gone is tanking him hard
Also the carbon tax carney thing backfired since carney got rid of the tax lmao
We will see how things turn out on the 28th
I still think its a lib minority government, but time will tell if they manage a majority somehow
Since NDP nuked itself, and bloc voters (seemingly) have mostly swapped to lib this election, this is the closest Canada has ever been to a 2 party system
I love Canadian elections because I keep forgetting its happening because excessive campaigning is not a thing like the states
