I mean this with all sincerity, the lockdown ended last June
I get that liberals all stayed home and larped about the coof
but nothing else changed
in the fucked states like CA, NY, and Canada, I get that the police actually enforced the gay unconstitutional shit
but it feels like we're living in different worlds when people talk to me about the lockdown as if it was a thing
past the first ~2 months, when no one knew wtf corona was
we are living in two different worlds, have been for years
fucking Jew Bears
they did this to us
In VA, the teachers who were too "scared" to return to school in-person last semester all got fired
outside some of the super-liberal counties up North
good, they should be fired
though they're still going to indoctrinate the kids
I feel like they blew their load though Gent, they had a LOT of compliance at first, but it waned super fast
I don't think it'd work again
I'd hope it won't
idk though
I got """vaxxed"""
they can't prove anything
I just tell people I went to a drive-by clinic
see, that's fucked, if CA actually is doing that
that's WAY too far for around here though
companies in DC have already killed work-from-home programs
I know a lot of people who are pissed
that stuff was so dystopian at first too
those firms that would just watch kids all day through their webcams
Well Gent, a good bellweather is whenever I get V&
I'll be your canary
there's kinda of a good thing from those zoom schools, typically ignorant parents learning the bullshit their kids are learning
I've heard that too, I wonder if more parents will start homeschooling
or as we call it in Virginia for some reason "podding"
whale pods, but lol I guess that works too
maybe? if they have time, most just go "oh we'll just switch to private schooling" but that's just as compromised
for some reason there's a stigma against "homeschooling" as a term, since people think it's not as good as a """"real"""" teacher
so around her something like 10-20% of parents started forming pods, and hiring private teachers for their kids
pods of ~5 kids usually
I get the socialization argument to that kinda
homeschooling is just straight up better
I'd see it as how many people have the time for it
K-8 at home, 9-12 at a public school
also the state hates home schooling
it takes money away from them
vax goes on our immunisation record here
not sure if anyone other than your doctor can see it though
but what if you get it at a non-hospital?
like, in America the vaccine is EVERYWHERE
and most places can't just access you medical records willy nilly
I can get it at CVS or the ABC store if I really wanted
I don't know about the rest of canada
all the spots that it is offered are pharmacies. I got mine at the UWaterloo pharmacy school
they have stations set up to put it on your record
(they ask if its okay to do so first though)
I wonder once you're further along, what it'll look like
further along how?
because for us, the aim of vaccinating everyone, means the vaccine has to be everywhere
and have zero friction in getting it
we are at 68% of the total pop, 78% of eligible pop
lmao
your fucking country man
We have states at ~30%, which have maxxed out
if it gets approved for under 12s, total pop would shoot up to near 90
I'd assume
it's so weird, how different we are
We also still are in lockdown btw
technically
