In an optimistic point of view, I wonder if this downward spiral into gerrymandering every state will get people upset enough to do away with this. Maine does rank choice voting, which is cool. I know it isn't some panacea but
all of the states have a justification to redistrict now that the race based representation thing has finally been overturned

Ranked choice should produce conditions for better candidates, but not if we still have a small number of seats and the monetary hurdle to run remains high (mostly due to campaign length)

Kinda sorta, but you gotta deport a fuck load of people first to ensure immigrants don't directly then disenfranchise the voting of the domestic population

I am talking about federally becoming exponentially worse because you have likely 50-100 million people who are of dubious status who should not be here. Counting them on census in such districts and many already voting dubiously would flood the system in a one sided way mostly due to cali, ny, ect

Bc of the population proportionality. All we need truly is enforcement of immigration laws, closing NGO related assistance, and gov assistance for these people for them to leave. Then work on the districts.
