we used to go audit the big 100-level courses, just to watch presentations while waiting for a different class sometimes

I think practicing presentations is required until you develop the skill to present well
same way I'm ok with people learning with flash cards or other presentation aids
that's honestly huge, the difference between an engaged class and one where everyone's phoning it in is so apparent
I mean, that sounds like a great excuse to get your foot in the door at a real department
no idea how big it is, but I wouldn't be surprised if they could really use a good intern
and would actually have you doing stuff
