BREAKING: Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) proposes resolution creating path for a THIRD Trump term
twitter.comReplying to reorruatrnte #toughbrook whatever is letting all the students and instructors who can't even speak english fully come into the schools in california, they should end that
Yeah in college the foreign students who couldn't even speak english always got accommodations, meanwhile they'd get paired with me for projects and wouldn't do anything because they don't understand what to do, it was retarded
I think the ratio is ~1:4
for every 1 normal foreign student, 4 are a waste
grad programs skew better, maybe 1:1 or 2:3
At Canadian schools (real ones, not ranting about degree mills), they exist just to fund the administration since international tuition is like 50k a term versus the <5k I pay
in your program, what was the ratio would you wager?
I have a hard time answering that. Grad school is different, and my undergrad was one of the tryhard degrees that you typically do not go into unless you are somewhat competent
I think the skew is worse for engineering or things that low quality (indian) parents tell their kids to do
All the international people in my research group for my masters seemed competent
overall student body in my experience (excluding freshman dropouts) I feel like was 20:1 (5% shouldn't have been there)
and I knew good foreign students, (none from India mind you) but it was different for sure, and 80% of them we could have done without
I have not really met the people in my PhD group because we do not meet
For the record, I do know good indian students (grad students)
most of them are not doing grad school in applied math
yeah, by the time you get into phd track stuff for real fields
the rate drops a lot
I think the rate balances out to the normal background rate

This targeted phase I predict will cap out at ~2k per-day
if/when they start moving to larger round-up operations, we'll see days in the 5-10k range
I don't think it's feasible to get far beyond that without enlisting the military to support ICE operations
I'm lumping that in with "military"
will be interesting how much they scale in terms of field agents
I'm really happy they're starting day 1, and not spending the first 2 years "scaling up" or some nonsense
which is what I feel like every other politician would have done
spend a bunch of money building new field offices and hiring people
I said it yesterday, I think it has zero to do with being a "2nd term"
we've got scorned Trump now
he's not playing the game
