I hate how they chopped this whole interview up
it's 100% been done by AI
and it has the problem of cutting in the middle of segments
90% of the interview is boring and not worth listening too, based on the clips I've seen

Yeah in college the foreign students who couldn't even speak english always got accommodations, meanwhile they'd get paired with me for projects and wouldn't do anything because they don't understand what to do, it was retarded
I think the ratio is ~1:4
for every 1 normal foreign student, 4 are a waste
grad programs skew better, maybe 1:1 or 2:3
At Canadian schools (real ones, not ranting about degree mills), they exist just to fund the administration since international tuition is like 50k a term versus the <5k I pay
in your program, what was the ratio would you wager?
I have a hard time answering that. Grad school is different, and my undergrad was one of the tryhard degrees that you typically do not go into unless you are somewhat competent
I think the skew is worse for engineering or things that low quality (indian) parents tell their kids to do
All the international people in my research group for my masters seemed competent
overall student body in my experience (excluding freshman dropouts) I feel like was 20:1 (5% shouldn't have been there)
and I knew good foreign students, (none from India mind you) but it was different for sure, and 80% of them we could have done without
I have not really met the people in my PhD group because we do not meet
For the record, I do know good indian students (grad students)
most of them are not doing grad school in applied math
yeah, by the time you get into phd track stuff for real fields
the rate drops a lot
I think the rate balances out to the normal background rate
