the worm inside RFK ate them all
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 and Trump will probably throw them that bone
the new Rogan episode actually touches on Snowden
The 20 million votes went to low turnout driven by unlikeable candidate (Harris) and people not being as mad about trump (4 years removed from him being in office) so it did not drive vote totals up
trump had lower turnout too, but was less affected because two assassination attempts is pretty good for galvanizing your base to go vote
People were really mad about trump, and people blame the active president for things when they happen (covid) even if not reasonable
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak trump had lower turnout too, but was less affected because two assassination attempts is pretty good for galvanizing your base to go vote (edited)
I'm not trying to lol factcheck you
but Trump got more votes than 2020
Actually?
yeah
I thought he had 2 mill less
nevermind then
I still think my analysis stands
they keep counting is why
his voterbase was not affected by apathy
on election night it was a little below, but it's been climbing up
Okay, yeah that makes sense. I really have not been keeping up other than election night stuff
is it much higher than his 2020 totals?
I think that tracks then, he did not lose any voters to apathy, harris lost a ton
it also depends on California's final count
which might have just said fuck it and gave up counting
So, I think a lot of it is, because mail in voting was basically completely allowed no holds bared for the most part, more people voted than usual
in 2020, they force mailed ballots to everyone
many states just sent them out toall registered voters
blue is more likely to be apathetic to it, so lowering the bar to entry was a huge boon for dems
normally, like this year, you have to request a ballot
red seems to usually be more galvonized
it's still stupid easy to do
but it's a hurdle
Honestly, I think the main reason they are against voter ID is not even illegals
and imo, apathetic fucks in big states aren't going to bother
its that legal voters will just not bother
no, it's because when it's signed via ID, it's MUCH harder to harvest ballots
because the digital trail is there
also, I feel like it should be noted, most states do require ID, which neither side talk about
because it gets in the way of the narrative
California doesn't, but like... lol california
As someone who hates IDs
voting should be one of the few things that requires ID
Either make voting require ID, or remove ID for cars
fair is fair
ID for voting, at court, marriage certificates, and for a notary
that's it imo
notary covers large loans, business incorporation, mortgages, etc.
and I guess running for political office
mail and banks probably can defualt to asking for a form of ID, but theirs can be more generous like they are already with security questions and other stuff
Leg, I have yet to think of a scenario where age verification via ID is reasonably required
cash payment for alcohol ig
cigs/vapes, alcohol, and gambling ig can require ID
oh, weed too in thsoe states
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 cigs/vapes, alcohol, and gambling ig can require ID
But also some places/workers don't care to check even if it's "required"
Like I've bought cigarettes without being ID'd dozens if not hundreds of times at this point for example
