Fire Emblem FW had reviews drop today

and every reviewer says some version of "there's so much stuff to do, you'll almost forget this is a strategy game"

also. maybe we knew this but the game is structured around a level select

which was is a positive improvement compared to what I was expecting

each of the characters has their own chapters (which comprise of 1-5 missions), and you choose which chapter to do after completing the last, character agnostic

(you can also apparently pause chapters and swap to other ones, then swap back later)

I figured that would be the case personally. It makes sense that they want you to see every chapter/every story from each character's perspective in order to unlock them for the "true fight"

What convinces me more is that shortly before I was shared this I had a Terranigma dream. I dreamt that there was an alternate ending where if you tell Light Side Elle that you like her more than Dark Side Elle, then after you beet the final boss you can walk outside Crysta's gate, go down the Hole and then the game transitions to you being in Storkholm.

its cool parallels and i think they both mostly succeed in their set out goals

No I agree that was the point of Arceus, I just think battling sucked and the game would almost be better if you removed it entirely

ZAs battle system is actually good but i think everything dies way too fast

pokemons damage output isnt balanced around real time

since pokemon is mostly about one shotting or two shotting the enemy
