Theres a reason https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTty_frV_mM is extremely iconic with how it mixes every single minigame including the credits one randomly
it's hard to deconstruct good/bad rhythm games, it's a mix of a lot of things
but the only good one in the first 9 games in Groove is the umbrella game, and the frog one is passable if it was the 1st level and got theme variations for the mixes
So far, only 2? I think even try to play with off-beats or have multiple different response types
on-top of a lot of their theming and music is just mid at best
The most fun part of the game so far is the first music box clapping game, and it's lacking even basic score-tracking like the DS/Wii games had for those

my rule is I cannot buy another game in a series if I bought the last one and did not play it

Engage's story is one of the worst FE stories
Okay, so I am going to rate it below 3H while conceeding it is probably a better game when I play it then
MC is below average, other characters are decent
I mostly care about if I like the characters in these games
I mean, ig I can't compare it to every FE game, since I've not played all of them
I will put up with mediocre or subpar stories if the game has good characters
but it's the worst of all post-Awakening

God, if I plow through Engage in the fall then get this in the winter, I will have played 4 SRPGS this year
