They are continuing the xenoblade saga legacy on switch

its a port of X

prequel to some JP only DS games no one played

either way, probably will get teased at the Switch 2 direct this Fall

its either a launch title or an end of life title announced in a couple weeks

I'd assume it's a year+ away

but it's the kind of thing that probably helps them sell consoles, knowing it's coming

since all Switch 1 games are going to run on Switch 2, I do wonder if Nintendo is going to do a hard break on some date, where all new games after some point are Switch 2 only

It has 1 major one thats easy

once you get goron mask, you can use a bomb to blast yourself over the fence to the ocean by doing the point jump and getting blasted by a bomb at the right time

this skips the ranch

Also you can skip ice arrows on the way to stone tower

semi precise position, you can just hookshot the first tree

you need the horse to get the mask to get there though

So technically you can go get the horse as soon as you have fire arrows, get zora + hookshot ( never entering great bay) then go straight to stone tower

only advantage to this I can think of is great fairy reward for stone tower is good

I did the goron skip to the ocean because I was trying to maximize my first cycle collection and by the time I beat snowhead it was day 3 (way too late to get the horse)

you can get to stone tower as soon as you get bombs with index warp, it just requires chaining i think 4 uses

I do not know how to hover

me neither

So I stick to simple tricks

i did everything possible in clock town before leaving so I spent 3 or 4 cycles getting the bottle and the postman hat

Oh thats the other major skip I know

with zora you can get on the wall in the laundry pool

so you can get keaton mask + letter without doing the rest of the quest

I did that cycle 1 to get the postman hat

I never posted it here, but here is everything I had by the end of first cycle. I missed some easy stuff like blast mask, all night mask, big bomb bag

the 2s2h enhancements for not emptying bottles is funny because you can save the monkey without cleaning up the swamp, and probably have multiple bottled deku princesses

that is amusing

also makes getting the gilded sword on day 2 possible

3DS was my old answer for best way to casually play OoT

but I really think ship is great

I don't think I've ever used the 3d feature, I just absolutely hated the look of the 2ds

2ship is fairly bare bones compared to ship atm, but it is fully playable

most of the stuff its missing are stuff I want for rando anyways

it gets choppy some times at high frame rates when other stuff is happening on the computer

Oh yeah, I only played 20fps

so I can't comment on higher frame rates

I was playing with 2x resolution and it looked and played good
