What's failing

is it the directory move action itself or is it an error with look-up tables post-move

I mean, I'm 1,000% supportive of moving to an OS actually build to do file storage

but Windows is really bad at moving anything over 500GB or more than 100,000 files GUI or command line

id use windows again but Ive remembered id have to set up drive permissions again and fuck all that

some of the utilities like Robocopy or xcopy automate the command switch off every file, but still run into trouble if you're moving large single files over a few hundred GB

it's not a Filesystem issue either
