What's failing
is it the directory move action itself or is it an error with look-up tables post-move
Are you just using the windows default file copy?
don't do that
uh, anything over 500GB will just fuck up
I mean, I'm 1,000% supportive of moving to an OS actually build to do file storage
but Windows is really bad at moving anything over 500GB or more than 100,000 files
GUI or command line
some of the utilities like Robocopy or xcopy automate the command switch off every file, but still run into trouble if you're moving large single files over a few hundred GB
Windows is just not built for it
it's not a Filesystem issue either
it's a Windows thing
