since this new Chinese one is re-usable, it might make more sense, but I bet it was hard to greenlight

Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 uses non-solid fuel (gasoline/kerosene) and just moves really slow
is this why gas is so expensive right now?
Microsoft has 3% marketshare for the record, which makes them being the first to switch to usage-based billing extra funny
The days where a $5 or even $20/month plan are worth anything are definitely coming to and end
Despite being 1st and arguably the early leader in consumer AI in 2022/2023
Microsoft just absolutely fucked themselves over by trying to force it
same thing Google is doing now, and I feel like is backfiring
they have infinite money, and are trying to force adoption where no one wants it

I've been trying to pitch that as the future of execution, hook someone up to a computer, perform a lot of theatrics while you kill them, and then have a LLM pretend to be them afterwards
everyone wants to be the ghost in the machine

I also sorta think if we froze people who have life sentences, it would accomplish the same thing
prison just doesn't make a lot of sense for sentences >10 years, and public executions aren't popular enough
exile or forced service/labor is better, but also sorta limited in the options available
wait, genius idea

Markiplier has solved the incarceration crisis

it might not be as funny anymore as it was like a few months ago but if you ever want to laugh at something just check the issues on github for vscode
it's 90% swarms of pages of bizzare complaints from people using copilot
and it autogenerating issues
you pay for a certain number of token uses
tasks cost X tokens depending on how demanding the task is
as far as I am aware
Yeah, it was stupid cheap for no reason despite all the compute power
I made sure to always thank grok specifically to burn money
Replying to Dialga #god_of_time are they charging people per use of the AI instead of a subscription? idk much about this topic
sorta
right now there are a lot of "trial" tiers of AI subscription that don't really make sense since $5/month is NOTHING, but you can't get a casual user to upgrade to $100/month if they're not going to regularly use AI yet
but people hate useage-based pricing, because we're so conditioned to just subscribe to stuff and never use it, versus micropaying when you do
Same thing with cloud stuff, if you pay for Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS webservers, you pay for the actual use of those server resources rather than one flat monthly rate
idk how to solve it, because it's just different than how 90% of average people are used to treating their subscriptions
Lifetime grok subscription but they hard code it so that grok gets more and more passive aggressive about how you should donate to the company until it becomes unusably agressive about you not paying continuously
I think that is the peak AI model

Our discussion about that post is that it is likely correct, but for the reason that eunichs were members of the court and taken care of well at that time
so them living longer than peasants just makes sense
I think a lot of the differences in horomones/biology is lessened with modern medicine anyways
