I used gentoo during school for 5 years, compiled my own kernel and all, but I learned I just don't use any of the niceities with the smaller software stuff and then I get shackled with the issue of compiling firefox and libreoffice every fucking day overnight

Honestly, Linux is about being fun at this point to me, I'd never use it as a main device (same with a Mac) but there's something pure and soulful of seeing different fundamental concepts

I use Linux for my main device but my use case is very easy. I just use the browser, audacity, and play games from a decade ago. The steam deck got me to switch over completely.

PowerPoint is superior to LibreOffice Impress. And there's still no way to sign PDFs without Adobe Acrobat, otherwise, I dunno, I'm more familiar with Linux so I know how to deal with its quirks.

Windows has one thing going for it, which is that a single windows machine can handle being 30 different things at once...somehow Linux as a standalone device (not as a container host or as part of a stack. Genuinely sucks at being multiple things I like small GUI-forward Linux distros because they're interesting and fun to play around with, not because I think they fit into my schitzo workflow.

I do have a friend who would like to join if possible, but it'd only be Friday and Saturday nights. He was my hiking buddy where we both went to the 4chan party last year. I forgot to ask but also know it's kinda weird to invite a rando, so make of it what you will.

Since I'm subscribed to r/conspiracy and they never shut up about Jeffrey Epstein there. I've come to realise that he was a very handsome man. Like if he weren't so famous I could easily see his head being used instead for the gigachad meme.

I still can't get over that one image where this supposed genius spelled his own name wrong on the chalkboard
