I get 50 dollar steam cards in my stocking
smaller physically, value wise more expensive
it's just something cheap that isn't worth much on its own but is used to inflate the amount you give, to add a bit of filling to the Christmas spirit.
LITERALLY I think it is specifically something like that you put into a stocking. but figuratively you can expand it to mean any type of filler Christmas gift imo (although the true meaning is still only involving the stocking)
I guess I could be argued to agree that you can also possibly use it to decribe a gift that is used to pad the total number of gifts
if it is the only gift, that is by definition the main gift though

I think prime "stocking stuffer" like textbook definition photo is candy yeah
though candy and chocolate is a common example of a stocking stuffer
I am allowed to go through my stocking as soon as I get up
because I always wake up at like 6am on christmas
still do for the record. Its not even excitement, I know everything that is under the tree (I wrap it)
