So I found out that free will exists. By virtue of being a member of the NSW Liberal Party, who have partnered up with SafeWill, I get a free will, and they recommend I give 1% of my estate to the Liberal Party. This deal lasts till September 15.

I like thinking those two events are connected. After losing to the emus, the emus forcibly disarmed the populace to make sure they would never be shot at again.

I traveled all across Europe with my sister about a year back, and for whatever reason, we went right through Belgium (I let her control where we went mostly). We stopped in a ton of different countries and cities, but when I asked her, like, can we just spend one night at least in Brussels so I can see what it's like, she just said nah we're tight on time, let's pass through.

Therefore, I am of the mind now that Belgium is not a real place and I have been gaslit into believing it. We passed through it because it isn't real.

i would rather visit japan than anywhere in europe not just cuz of the weebery, but also because the culture is actually different enough to be interesting

Tokyo is also just a far better megacity compared to anything in Western Europe with how clean it is and how great the public transit is. Legitimately a great tourist location.

I feel like more of the world isn't that culture-shocky, until you start going to the 3rd world
I agree with this, I found the East Coast <--> UP of Michigan to be a larger culture shock than East Coast <--> Western Europe
TinyBomby general
Honestly that's an interesting observation. There's a lot of pretty different cultures even within the US, so if you've only lived in one state your entire life, it's possible to have a culture shock going elsewhere within your country.
