nah, it's the Flemish
they lay in wait
I traveled all across Europe with my sister about a year back, and for whatever reason, we went right through Belgium (I let her control where we went mostly). We stopped in a ton of different countries and cities, but when I asked her, like, can we just spend one night at least in Brussels so I can see what it's like, she just said nah we're tight on time, let's pass through.
The best cities to visit are no longer in Western Europe, unless you NEED to visit a megacity
there are better older cities, and there are better modern cities
Japan (and most of SEA) has the added benefit of being cheap
I feel like more of the world isn't that culture-shocky, until you start going to the 3rd world

Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 I feel like more of the world isn't that culture-shocky, until you start going to the 3rd world
I agree with this, I found the East Coast <--> UP of Michigan to be a larger culture shock than East Coast <--> Western Europe
100%, I think visiting New England for the 1st time, or any of the different US regions
is bigger than people give them credit for being
other than the language barrier, most of the developed world is similar
it fun in how they're different
but not something that is a spectacle, or if it is you adapt to it really quickly
