I think it was good? The entire movie was obviously re-written, re-shot, and re-edited a million times

I actually think the final edit we got tried to remove the majority of the DEI bullshit and make it a good movie again, and it sort of succeeded...

There was an opening shot in the mining outpost, of a goofy looking wheelchair miner, and I almost wrote the movie off right there, but then she was edited out/around of all the other surface shots, and had zero lines despite at one point clearly being a character

The biggest flaw was just that all characters are written as 19-year-olds, which felt off for an Aliens movie. You have to introduce contrived exposition dumps that give them context for everything... instead of the assumption being that they inherently have certain skills/knowledge

but I also just like the whole aesthetic and vibe of that universe, so that's probably why I thought it was fun
