I used to like the idea of just using large leverage and making $500-$1000 a day doing safe trades for a couple hours then I realized it's the same shit as sports betting, it ends up consuming a fuckton of your mindshare and you aren't really any better off

Crypto trading is about the same, once you look past all the meme coin markets, slightly better returns overall

I was literally just looking into leverage stuff today because I finally decided to enable margin trading on robinhood so it would stop giving me pop ups about it

$1000 of interest free margin sounds nice, provided I was gonna invest in safe stuff anyway

When rates were low, RH's margin rates were fucking great

it's not terrible now, it's like 5-6% or whatever

it's nice that they give discounts on a sliding scale

Mhmm, I like programs like that because it gives me something to aspire to. My bank gives better interest rates for their money market accounts the more you have invested with them, which gets me excited about giving them more of my money, lol

And as for robinhood, I pay for gold for the ira match and the money sweep so anything else on top of that is a nice bonus. They have so many of those its really funny seeing people online talk about how bad robinhood is
