I see your point
Vinny, you lost all credibility
when your defense of the system was
"well I'll probably get my name, so who cares"
Bopit, try mobile if you're not
Bopit you’ll be soon
Mine was September
No one is taking either phijkchu_pikachu or klombak unless one of you fucks do it so I am safe
desktop will 100% not see them
That’s retarded
Discord is removing usernames being name#1234
and now its just a locked tag that 1 person can have
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 "well I'll probably get my name, so who cares"
It was more of a “so I don’t care” than a “who cares”
Bots will steal and sell them
yeah
100%
Every single first name or 3 character name will be taken by bots
for anyone who didn't read how it worked
they already "revserved" everyone's username for them
oh lol
so if you had the username in Feb, or whenever their snapshot was from, they either reserved "Klombak" or if someone with an earlier/more important acct had that, you have "klombak6873"
the #0000 was better
it allows 10,000 people to share the same name
it's a solved system
if 10,000 was too low, they could make it case sensitive to get to 20,000+
adding digits to the identifier literally scales exponentially
so if they add 2 digits and make it a 6, it will never be an issue ever
idk how many "john"s there were
I wonder if there were 10,000
I'd be curious
they could make numbers scale so that if they ever max out, it adds a number to a name so any new name is generated with 5
Replying to heir #hyrrulfr i have yet to see a legitimate non-conspiracy theory reason for why they are making this change
The only answer I sort of considered valid, was that they're trying to get bought and want a unified username system like every other site (other than Blizzard) uses
Replying to apple #applejuiceteamilk I still have my #, are they slowly pushing the change out to sample users?
yes slow roll out
its supposedly based on age of account
So you are 2017 so you have 2 years worth of people who get theirs first
