I mostly just get tired of sweaty pvp FPS's, if I can have fun and its not discouraged then I'm into it
but if I'm expected to sit somewhere and make callouts to the rest of the team I'll need a group I like to play with to not want to off myself
If I'm going to play something comp, and not to have fun, it's going to be 1v1
yeah, I think you're right about it being even more important for fighting games
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 I mostly just get tired of sweaty pvp FPS's, if I can have fun and its not discouraged then I'm into it but if I'm expected to sit somewhere and make callouts to the rest of the team I'll need a group I like to play with to not want to off myself (edited)
Games like this are also really really fucking annoying to play if youre in a VC
Replying to taxes #tzfi i just think that the fact pve is much harder to do and its much easier to push out a ladder and competative angle that pvp does well
Yea, you can release the most barebones product possible and as long as you slap some esports/ranked on it then itll be taken "seriously"
I don't want to glaze Big Walk too hard, it's easily still a 5* game,
but had the devs done more, it had the chance to be generational
Will still get a deserved GotY nomination
yeah, agree Dialga
I could give a huge list of flaws or half-baked ideas in Big Walk, at its core I think the devs just didn't fully commit to what they were making
But yeah, it's one of the best friendslop experiences I think you can have, assuming a group size of 5-8 (everyone is free to argue about the precise ideal number)
big walk was great
I think every single person of our group who played it walked away with at least one or two memorable experiences
a mic is required, and I think you sort of need to know the people you're playing with
and yeah, the central mechanic is solving puzzles, it's a video game version of teambuilding challenges you have to do in school/work
Replying to Polar_ #polar_ I didnt play big walk, but it seems like a good iteration of friend slop. Everything post LC has just been a slightly different version of LC where you just extract loot
As I see it, tiy have 3 main branches of friendslop. mass coop game (puzzle, adventure, etc), leathal company, ttt/prophunt likes
but I think deep down people actually like those, even if you were "to cool" for them when you had the chance to do them irl
Because of mecha chameleon, expect a lot of prophunt likes in the next 2-5 years
bigwalk might spawn a few puzzle variety likes
