the answer to this is that gods are given the role that they "can not die" and then souls are suppoused to be recycled, so his body is made on the roots of the tree. the tree replaced the crucible, inwhich all souls went through, so he's stuck in a garbage system constantly being recycled and trying tobe remade because bullshit
