A lot of the mechanics of this game feel like time wasters

(No one enjoys rot/poison swamps that you can’t use torrent in)

runbacks are sorta a part of souls, while I like the stake system I still enjoy runbacks so idk

You enjoy runbacks

theyre a nice break between hard bosses, and usually the bosses that HAVE runbacks arent actually that difficult

Ideally I’d just choose an option to spawn directly back into the fight

Fallingstar beast surrounded by shrimp in that trap dungeon

youre just throwing yourself at the wall then constantly, and that makes sense for something very very hard or has a slow phase 1

i think the fallingstar beast runback is pretty bad, but i also think thats a bad bossfight in general

The only thing I will concede for elden ring is that a lot of the combat feels how it should

Which is usually good

But I think combat is almost the only thing they do right

Everything else is done in some weird way

i think the horse feels better

than most open world games

Where I don’t see how they could have come to the conclusion

(It’s worse than pokemon lol)

giving the horse a double jump is something all games should do
