Opinion: all video game boss fights should have the option to skip them.

@QuiteSeriousNG @tha_rami Some people suggested taking achievements away from people who decide not to fight the boss characters would also be unfair, which I get. But it’s a compromise I’d be happy with personally. Really it was a bone thrown to the gatekeepers in anticipation of the inevitable backlash.

@Call_Me_Maxwell @tha_rami That’s what motivated my tweet. I’ve come across a couple I think were totally unfair and resent the time I put into getting past them. But more often than not they are just artificial barriers to your progress however difficult they are. I think that’s just fundamentally bad.

@a_t_h_e_n_e_o @MarcJX8P I agree gameplay is the most important thing for a lot of them (the story is more or as important for others). But if there’s an aspect of the gameplay you don’t like, and IF it’s a small part (as it usually is in the games I play), then you’re not left with ‘interactive media’.
