id tech was making id engine 6?

I have no real gamedev knowledge, but quicksaving always seemed really hard to achieve

and arkane was like

hey lets use id engine 5 and make the void engine

id engine 5 sucks ass

id engine 6 is incredible

and void engine is just awful
