honestly the weirdest mikiri counter timing is the spear monks

they like jump to the side and come from a weird angle

which makes it hard to counter sometimes

theres only like 5 of them in the game and like every situation they show up theyre with like 10 more enemies

isshin with the spear used to be hard but tbh all you gotta learn is not attacking till he deflects

if you only track twice you’ll have time to deflect the back air slash

deflect the bullets into the counter or jump

yes isshin isn’t that hard when you learn him

phase 1 has the harder aoe spin though, thats literally the only differnece to me
