In the video it's explained that the general shape of the world is decided first like if a place is a mountain or a valley or not, and then biomes are decided to make up that region with a set amount of exclusions where biomes will only generate in certain terrain types, this would replace the system of having something like a forest hill biome be it's own individual biome type over forest.

okay so its

mountains/valleys first

THEN the biomes ontop

then paints it with the biome after

rivers are probably included with that

So now it's a forest that happens to be on a hill region, instead of a biome that dictates forest on a hill
