I really like spear

but spear is kinda weak

compared to everything else

my favorite run was my crystal laser cheese though

but literally every boon I picked up was a buff for my lasers

this was like run 5 or 6 of mine

and was my second clear

just cheesing the bosses down

i mean

the problems with fallout 4 and skyrim

werent todds fault

well the big story problems

he's not that bad!

Is anything todd's fault really, he's just the messenger

he makes some descisions but like

We meme on him because he's their face

with fallout 4 it was someone else who decided on the 4 button system and lack of actual world design

because they said

todd is part of the issue of bethesda not caring about lore/consistency

We'll see Starfield this year at E3

I think that will be telling

"WHY MAKE A GOOD STORY WHEN THE PLAYER WILL JUST BE LOOKING FOR COLLECTABLES"

I have faith in Starfield

as much as bethesda is shit on

their gameplay cores are always solid

they can make a bad story but I've never seen them make a bad "game" per se

I think it's hard (impossible?) to provide lore entirely verbally

every other RPG has you reading codex entries or whatnot, and try to have them not all be dumped at once

F4 isn't a good game per se either

I think it has a good gameplay basis

I would argue too from a design standpoint I think it had the oppurtunity to be a better system and application of the SPECIAL system than fo3 or NV

skills being arbitrary numbers didnt really make a lot of sense

compare F4 against Outer Worlds

F4 is clearly more fun to play
