I just realized you can listen to Elijahs radio messages in other places in Dead Money

I knew you could listen to him in the hotel, and he'd talk to you through it

and after you vault him

but I didn't realize in some hidden spots you can pickup his frequency sometimes

thats so fucking cool

It's really interesting to

read dead money theories

before OWB came out

Because while the holograms were explained as a product of the big empty

the gas was not, nor were the suits really

I think this further backs up the optimal dlc order is

HH -> DM -> OWB -> LR

It's also crazy to think about how close humanity was to reaching extreme power at the time of the great war

the Sierre Madre vending machines just straight up use nuclear fission to create anything theyve created a blue print for

It makes the Institute an actual fucking joke as well.

They act like some super smart cool group that are mega brains

and for years they could only make two gens of shitty ass fake people

then FINALLY they made an okay gen, but every other department is lacking

and they've had TWO HUNDRED YEARS

compared to the Big Empty who created incredible innovations for fun

I agree that's the right dlc order

It works perfectly because

HH introduces the notion of another courier

Dead Money shoehorns him in too hard

and mind you, Dead Money was the FIRST DLC

and you get lines like

"The battle between the two couriers, under the old world flag"

at the end of this DLC

You get a better progression if you go HH -> DM -> OWB

Because you first hear about some "other courier", and HH is a good low level DLC, PLUS it teaches you to learn about the enviromental/log story telling to find out more- as the Survivalist's story is just incredible.

Then Dead Money hints HEAVILY at the Big Empty and this "Other Courier"

As well as the introduction of this "Big Empty" that all these people have seemingly been to, that's dnagerous.

Then you learn the motives of Lesbian and Elijah, and alot more about them. I used to feel like you should of learned that first- but now that I thuoght about it, learning after makes a lot more sense

As well as you hear the voice, and learn a lot more about this other Courier, and his obsession with the old world flag

but all you hear is his voice, even in Lonesome Road unless you spam vats or know the game inside and out and spot im in the small frames he watches you from, you just hear his voice until the end

I just wish Lonesome Road had as compelling of side stories to read

The survivalist's story is one of the best in fallout and incredibly fun to seek out. Uncovering the plot and interwoven disgusting of the Sierra Madre is optional, yet it's extremely endearing because it's interesting. OWB doesn't have as good of major side stories to read, but you get snippits of Elijah, Lesbo and Ulyseuseususes. As well as the logs on the computers about the expierements, which most of the time are morbidly fun to read.
