yes, black and white karma especially done by Bethesda is incredibly nonsensical

They don't respect your ability to make choices so they mark every named npc as essential, and when you do get the slightest bit of freedom they shit on you if you do what they deem to be wrong

Fallout 4 you couldn't in story be truly "evil" until nukaworld

even then, the raiders are a joke

Arguably the institute route is the closest you get

institute is so poorly written. What you can pull out of the mess it is, is that bethesda wanted a "we're not really evil, just mysterious and misunderstood."

one just adds more events to mojave, and one adds the ability for the player model to move diagnol, the rest are fixes, patchs and tweaks

did fo4 try to copy the new vegas thing of many factions

But no war

And 2 of the factions are too small to reasonably be able to affect anything

the rail road should of just been

not a faction

but just a group

brotherhood/minmen/institute would of been enough

The minutemen are pretty puny too, they only become "a thing" because the game pushes you into settlement building for them
