was following it for a bit, seemed like they were going down the same path a lot of indies do when they get one big well-received release, getting trapped in all the PR/community hype.
I think the part that infuriates me is that it's just pissing away success.
Game came out in 2016 that was a massive cult hit....
and you spend the next 4 years putzing around, couple ports here and there but nothing that amounts to anything
So now, you release a post that says:
"well, I kind of haven't actually done anything in the last 4 years, but don't worry I've got a great idea that will make this work"
I like the dev, I liked his threads on /v/, fuck, I'll probably like this next game if/when he releases it
I just hate wasting everyone's time, and then acting like people owe you sympathy at the end of it (which is what this blog post is angling for)
but hey, that's pretty par-the-course for the modern internet I guess

I say yes, but I think so much of current legal rights are tied up in fair use, and whether something is "transformative" whatever the hell that means
I mean, if we take the sargon case as an example of case law, didn't the judge rule that the act of putting the content he clipped on his channel alone was transformation
because it puts it in a different context being on his channel
I think a lot of things are transformative just by the nature of them existing
