The second game was a direct continuation of the first one. You could even transfer your character over, I'm pretty sure. But I'm not sure how much this game has to do with the second or first.

I think this game is more like Divinity Original Sin 2.5, rather than a BG game

The only reason I never played BG 1 was I could never get the enhanced edition to start

but 2 worked fine for some reason

It has some good moments, but the second one is a lot better.

honestly, they aged a lot worse than other classics did

Though I have yet to play a Divinity game, so I don't really have a frame of reference to compare them with.

It's a pain in the ass learning how the actual game works. But I really liked the world and dialogue, which at times was really funny.
